Overview:    

Band Version: To take a choral version of The National Anthem and add text for the voices, transpose the song to concert B-flat, score it for winds, and print off the individual parts. Also, learn the basics of part formatting and instrument ranges.

Choral Version: To take a 4-part SATB score and reduce it to 3 parts wile learning about the plug-in and text features in Sibelius.

Orchestra Version: To take a choral version of The National Anthem and add text for the voices, transpose the song to concert B-flat, score it for orchestra, and print off the individual parts. Also, learn the basics of part formatting and instrument ranges.

Overview:         

To take 3 rough, unedited recordings and splice them into 1 master recording, using the tools available on music editing software.

Purpose:            

As a performer or educator, you will likely find yourself needing to submit recordings of you or your ensembles for graduate auditions, conference acceptance, or some other kind of evaluation at some point. This assignment is structured to help familiarize you with the basics of audio recording and editing in the hopes that you are comfortable using these skills not only as a professional in the field, but also in your future classes at Penn State..
